As a high functioning over crafter I could never send my kids to school with store bought valentines.
I just can't.
Last year we made THESE.
And this year we decided to put Mom's big camera to use.
I found a similar idea online somewhere that I tweaked a bit.
Unfortunately I can not for the life of me find it, but as soon as I do I will add the link because she had a TON of cute V-day ideas!
So easy to make.
Simply take a picture of your child with their hand in a fist and reaching forward.
Add wording, or fancy graphics in Photoshop.
If you don't have Photoshop, you can add words and edit your picture using Picasa.
(which is a FREE download HERE)
I cropped my pictures to 4"x 2.75" and 300 dpi.
But you can make them whatever size you would like.
Now I made a blank (legal paper size) image and pasted as many of my Valentine pic as would fit.
Ended up being 8

Then I just printed them off onto card-stock on my printer and cut out each one individually.
Next I took an exacto knife and cut a slit in the picture at the very top and bottom of the fist, slid a lollipop stick through, or for the boy we used glo-bracelts...

and suck a little piece of tape onto the back because you never know what could happen at school ;)

And now they have an awesome homemade crafty valentine!

For the boy one, you could have him holding a silver or black cylinder of some sort, then have the glo-bracelet coming out of the top (not the bottom, and taped onto the back so it stays) and you'd have a light saber!
Happy Valentines Day, and...
HAPPY CREATING EVERYONE!!
